In a world that moves at an ever-increasing pace, we often find ourselves yearning to reconnect with our roots, to understand the stories that have shaped our families across generations. That's where we come in.

At A View of The Past, we are passionate about delving deep into the annals of history to unearth the fascinating narratives, hidden treasures, and forgotten connections that make up your unique family heritage. Our mission is to provide you with a bridge to the past, offering a window into your ancestors' lives, struggles, and triumphs. We’ve successfully helped over 200 families connect the dots of their lineage.

A View of the Past also service clients requiring more specific research such as securing documentation to establish Native American heritage; uncovering when and where family immigrants arrived in America as well as their countries of origin; establishing the validity of heirs for court probate work; and discovering plantation locations, owners and documents that reveal the life stories of the enslaved persons who toiled there. Research conducted by A View of the Past has led to the recognition of land once owned by an African American family in Chevy Chase, DC for over 80 years, taken by eminent domain in 1928 and now being pursued for reparations by the ancestors.

If you are ready to get a "view of your past "we'd be happy to assist you!
